Good! A little gypsy/balkan vibe…

Would be greatly enhanced by human playback, stretching the timing to make it dance…

Very nice. And good because it'll give the pianist some work to bring it off with flair! Very well written, progressions follow naturally.

I see what Thorolf means, however I must say that for a midi, it isn't bad at all!

human playback

I can get human playback on the computer but not on the MIDI. Finale is supposed to give human playback in the audio output files sometime.
These things do sound different when I play them at the piano.

Great piece, really nice progressions and harmony. I've heard that Finale is suppose to give human playback but nothing can substitue the real thing of course. Do you have recording equipment available? I suppose that is an option if you want a good audio recording.

I agree, MaestroX! Great piece. You have this smooth balanced long-lined harmonic progressions that makes you really enjoy the 6-4 to 5-3 dominant at the end of the 16-bar period. Very authentic, indeed!

I only wince at the two end bars, where you seem to say nothing but, ok, finished! but not as eloquently as the rest of the piece…*

:EDIT: this was really a comment on the tango posted here: http://www.music-web.org/forum/showt...=2175#post2175

I have no problems with the ending of the waltz! Just posted in the wrong thread!

Regards

Nice. But like thorwolf said, the end is too abrubt. I suggest adding some kind of a cadenza.

Very nice! I really liked the theme at :42. Its a nice contrast.
I don't have a problem with the ending, but a cadenza wouldn't hurt.

I edited my comment, as it was actually commenting a tango, and I happened to post it in the wrong thread! I think the ending is ok here…
