Tango Dido The name comes from having borrowed the opening bass line from Purcell's "Dido and Aeneas." The piece seems a bit too busy to me in some ways. I threw in a chromatic bass line and a omnibus (to extend a dominant to make a 16 measure segment.) It was fun though. Last edited by ttw : 11-08-2008 at 06:19 AM.

Good! Very strong main theme! I like it very much. The side theme is not as interresting as the main theme, but it is (almost) justified by its incorporation in the tonic towards the end. Maybe you can squeeze it even more to make it as good as the first part? You surely have that knack of knocking up a good melody to reinvent old chord progressions. This is something that very few can do… ![]() Congratz! Mind posting the .pdf? Regards

Usually I'm not much for the Tango, because I find it hard to make something new with it, but you've actually done a really good job ^_^ It sounds cheerful with a nice dramatic touch (forgive me if this is an inappropriate term) ; I too would be interested in the PDF ![]()
