Tango for flute and harp

Just to try some different scoring. I'm not sure this is ok for harp.

Sounds like a fun piece. The big thing you have to watch out for in a harp is the scope of how far they can reach in one hand or around the body of the harp itself. You shouldn't really have any huge problems as long as you are aware of the differences of the harp from, say, a piano (such as you can only technically play four notes at a time on the harp as opposed to five on a piano)

But not having the score to look at, it sounds like the harp player would have fun playing it.

I've had a listen and its very fun to play for both instrumentalists. Did you write the harp part specifically for the harp or was its materical from an earlier piano part?

The harp was conceived for a harp. I based the harp part on a recording a harpist did of one of my piano pieces. She had no trouble with similar figures.

A very nice piece. A flute and harp combo is always a sure hit.
This does sound like a fun piece to play. There is one personl suggestion I would like to make. I think the piece would greatly benefit from a little more chromaticism. I don't mean anything way out or unfitting for the piece. I just think that since the piece uses a repeating form, it would help to melodically/harmonically add a little chromaticism every once in a while in a various moments. But, that's just my personal feeling. The piece is still great and nice to listen to.
