My Grade Two Composition Piece

Sorry about the dreadful recording - it's written on the free Finale notepad - which doesn't do recordings - so I had to play it through my speakers and record it on my camera and then put it back on the pc... and along the way it got a lot of Sustain effect...

Still, the LCM chief examiner gave it 26 out of 30.

It played well enough for me. The recording was enough to convery the piece - nice one!

There's about ten seconds of silence before it gets going...

Just an addendum - can you tell us how you recorded it, sneekymum?

[Edit] [It looks like it was recorded on Windows Recorder and at a low (let's say) resolution: 4-bit samples at a sample rate of 11k]. No it doesn't on second look. But the low resolution/sample rate accounts for the hissing (quantisation error) about which I will not wax lyrical right here.

Did you want me to clip off the silence at the front? Also, did you want it converted to mp3, so Boneman and others can hear it, should they not have the means to pick up this wav file? But it'll be just a try - it's no ordinary wav file, that's sure!
I have a few moments so I could do these and present them back here whereon you can pick them up and save them.

cheers,
Reith

The great thing about this place is that there are so many people to help with all things musical, and make the tea!

It came out of the speakers and on to my camera. (OK - I'll buy a proper notation program after (if) I pass grade 4).

Is this better?

Of course the repeat doesn't work, but you could print it out and play it properly....
