another small piano piece

Hi All,

As I feel somewhat more comfortable sharing my little writing here, here's one more small piece for piano. It was at some time also shared through the acf.finalemusic.com website and is posted as Finale showcase so if you come there too it might be familiar to you.

For your convenience I've added the score too.

Let me know your thoughts?

Peter

Here's the sendspace link for the mp3: http://www.sendspace.com/file/0h381w

From the way you've described your playing experience elsewhere, I'd say this was a very good start. A dreamy little piece. Interesting harmony.

Have you played it? And...have you studied any theory?

Look forward to hearing more from you.

Good luck,
Reith.

Hi Reith,

Thanks and to answer on your questions; I can play certain parts but not all of it (yet) even though it doesn't look too difficult.

The harmony is entirely based on what I found was the right thing to hear and fitting whit what I had in mind. This shows most by the somewhat shallow accords as I could not find the appropriate accompanying third note to fit in easily enough.

Actually I'm studying theory right now as I got some books for my birthday recently. I will post more of these small pieces over time, trying to fit in everything that I learn on the way, I think and hopefully you will see some progression in them as well.
Any suggestions to improve it are always welcome.

Thanks again,

Peter
