Dave has been involved with music since the age of five. Starting with organ & piano lessons, he added clarinet to his repertoire and played in various school ensembles through middle and high school. In high school, he joined a band and began his immersion in synthesizers, drum machines and music technology.
Upon graduating from high school, Dave went to the University of Western Ontario to pursue a degree in Music. He continued his study of piano with a focus on Theory, Composition and Music Education. Dave also continued to evolve his own writing, arranging and composition style.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Music, Dave went on to earn a Master of Business Administration degree from McMaster University. He had a successful career in business as a technology consultant. However, music continued to be his passion and he continued to write / arrange music, gaining an interest in engineering / producing. He also started to teach himself guitar.
